Character Dressing: The Talented Mr. Ripley

February 17, 2010

Let’s step back in time to the 1950’s and explore the enamoring style of the women in the movie, The Talented Mr. Ripley. So much of their dress feels fresh – the cat-eye sunglasses, the classic trench coat, the white tailored shirts and the bright pops of color all look modern and chic.

This spring is a perfect time to be inspired by Mr. Ripley’s characters and try mixing their look into your wardrobe. Maybe add a bold lip,  hit the beach in a 50’s inspired bathing suit (available at Anthropologie), top it off with a leopard print hat, or style your hair into soft platinum waves.

Nothing but femininity and flair!
