Spring has officially sprung here in California – the weather is warm and toasty, the flowers are smelling sweet and the sun doesn’t set until late in the evening. Th change of season means a change of wardrobe! The fur, flannel and fleece have to go and pastels, nudes and florals are welcomed in with open arms.
Changing the closet is a great way to review and purge items that never get worn and it can be oh-so-refreshing. All of a sudden you have items that are loved, but have not been worn in six months and you have room to add new and improved spring trends you have been dying to try.
I feel the closet is your own personal dressing room – it is where you get to play dress up. It should reflect your personality and if there is space to spare it should feel cozy and comfortable. The minute you walk in or open the doors, inspiration should come flowing out and the key is to keep it organized just the way you like it. Try hanging dresses in one section, then skirts, blazers, shirts, etc… then add a hats section, scarfs, shoes, and jewelry – have it all at your finger tips.
Do the season switcheroo, crank up your favorite tunes and spend a few moments playing dress up!
