Character Dressing: Cracks

April 10, 2010

Thanks to Jennifer at Sally Jane Vintage for introducing the movie that is today’s featured journey into Character Dressing. The movie is Cracks and looks to be an interesting boarding school saga full of twists and turns, but it is the clothes that has me twirling and whirling.

Set amidst the British countryside in the 1930’s, the girls are at the age of dreams and fantasies and their bohemian, non-traditional teacher only seems to encourage this.. which of course results in the most beautiful dressing.

Dive into the movie to find inspiration and you will come out desiring feminine frocks paired with cardigans, socks and shoes and topped off with a floppy hat or head wrap. The teacher’s tutorials will have you donning plush prints and dramatic draping with ruby-red lips.

Let the romantic take over your look..

Oh my goodness, this looks fantastic! This kind of reminds me of a 30s version of a Mona Lisa Smile-type movie.I can’t wait to add it to my continually growing netflix list of beautiful movies to see.
