Easy Carrie

January 25, 2011

SATC sparked my love for eclectic style and drove me to play in the aisles of thrift stores and vintage shops,Β  looking for odds and ends to create kooky and cool looks.

I remember my first purchase that seemed very “Carrie” was a pair of purple 80’s pumps… I always loved when Carrie paired pumps with an easy outfit.

So today, with pumps in hand, I began to create my “Easy Carrie” look.. a hoodie, rolled cargos, some bling and a vintage slip seemed to do the job.

*Update* Many have asked about the Carrie Hair.. here is a tutorial that shows how I pull off this look.. just tease it up a little more.

I love this post! SO many times I’ve attempted to pull off the ‘Casual Carrie’ look. It’s such a fun way to play with fashion in a comfy way (well, aside from the shoes…but totally worth it).

Love this combination! I loved sitting around my dorm room watching SATC with my friends. I love this idea of trying to “recreate” some of her looks. It’s Carrie inspired but still totally you!

Easy Carrie is so great because it’s casual with class and style still. Nice interpretation of the look. You’re hair looks fabulous also….very Carrie-esque!

This is spot on Carrie. It helps that you have the hair as well. I love this look! So refreshing and chic! Have you ever done a tutorial on just getting your hair to wave without looking like it’s too out of control? I can achieve tight curls but I feel like all hell would break loose if I tried to just do loose waves.
