where-how-and-what she shops, fashion inspirations and how style seeps
into every nook and cranny of her life.

First, you have a great sense of fashion! Secondly, i was wondering if i can interview you for Her Campus is an online magazine for college women that individualizes its content college-by-college by establishing My Campus branches at schools across the country. With national content on Style, Health, Love, DormLife, and Career, supplemented by campus-specific content produced by teams of students at 60+ colleges across the country, Her Campus serves as a hub for everything college women need to know about today. I am the Career Editor for my school’s branch at the University of Illinois at Chicago and thought it would be great to interview a successful professional in the fashion world.

You think it might be possible for me to get in touch with you further to discuss it? Possibly set up a chat on e mail or an instant messanging application? Otherwise, many thanks anyhow and I am going to continue to read and comment.

    Hello there!
I’m also from OC and an aspiring stylist myself! Im trying to break into the industry but it’s definitely harder than it looks. I keep asking around for internships, but it seems like no one wants to take a chance on me because of my lack of experience….any advice for the newcomer?

found your blog via Beckerman Bite Plate. I love your style so much. There is a lot going on, but always so well styled. If you can combine these pieces into a great look= you are a very very stylish girl. What I love the most is that you can create great everyday looks; all the pieces are simple and refined and they match so well together. The colors are not to bold, but soft and sophisticated. I think you have one of the most elegant styles in the business; it’s a little bit of an English polished look. I also love your diversity, you are inspired in so many ways and you can translate it into so many great looks. Keep on blogging, and surprise us some more (following you via bloglovin)

You can definitely see your enthusiasm in the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.

What kind of camera do you use? Do you take your own pictures? I am on the market of a camera and was wondering if you had any suggestions.

PS – I love your blog and read it everyday!

I use an Olympus EPL-1. I love it because it is small and easy to use. If you are looking for something more heavy duty.. this wouldn’t be it.. but I love it.

Hi Bjones! I think you are such an inspiration and I love your style and everything about your blog. I think you went to Biola University and if so that’s where I am going there next year as a freshman and I too want to work in fashion. So like I said before you are truly my inspiration. What was your major in college and how did you get started in the fashion industry?

    A fan,

I have a question…I know you cycle through your closet a lot with buy, sell, trade. But I was curious, while you very rarely seem to wear the same thing twice (or at least it’s unnoticeable with styling) do you have a favorite, or a couple of favorites in your closet that you love to wear and will never get rid of? I would love to see those “true to you pieces.” Love your blog…so full of inspirations for me even though we have different styles. See you at shop L.A.

    • March 30, 2011 10:38 am

I do cycle through a lot.. but I also hold on to my favorites. Some I have had for years: Camel Trousers, Fur Vest, Endless Blazers that get worked in every season, SHOES for sure.. and it goes on.
Yes. Hope to see you at ShopLA.

I live in OC as well and looking at your blog makes me want to shop at Savers!! I usually spend way too much money on a single item that I can wear once from a department store, but now your inspiring me to thrift and be more creative with more items of clothing. Love your blog, and can’t wait to see more.
